One-Owner Flute

Powell Flute #1409, made in 1954, soldered tone hole Handmade Model, solid silver, open hole, in line G, Bb shake, B-foot, gold springs, no adjusting screws, Straubinger pads, A=440 traditional scale.

Powell #1409 is in good condition, it was well taken care of by its only owner. The flute produces a brilliant tone that is not thin, with an easy high register, a lovely middle range, and rich, colorful low notes. The original headjoint is very strong and vibrant. For those who prefer a modern sound, an extra newer Powell headjoint is available for $700 more. It comes in its original case in well-used condition.

The embouchure hole measures 10.5 x 12.2 mm.

Sounding length is 637 mm.

Headjoint length is 8-7/8”.
