Louis Lot Flute serial #5306,
made in 1892. Silver plated body and keys, solid silver lipplate with hall
marks and maker’s marks, handmade plateau model, soldered tone holes, pointed
arms, no adjustment screws, inline G, C-foot, , B/C shake, .015" tubing,
replacement gold springs, original pad retainers, felt pads, decorated base
plate left over from a previously crutch installation.
Lot #5306 is currently not in
optimal playing condition due to leaking pads and will require a full overhaul
to restore its characteristic vintage French voice. The headjoint is original.
For testing purposes, it plays well in other French flute bodies. There are
signs of spot plating on worn areas, especially on the close cups. It comes in
a modern French case in fair condition.
Maker’s mark on both the
headjoint and the body, serial number on headjoint only.

The embouchure hole measures 10.0 x 11.8 mm.
Sounding length is 602 mm.
Headjoint length is 9”.
