A Classic Haynes with #9 Headjoint
Wm. S. Haynes Flute serial #38975,
made in 1971. Solid silver, handmade French model, soldered tone holes, open
hole, pointed arms, no adjustment screws, inline G, C-foot, Bb shake, .013”
tubing, forged keys and touches, gold springs, felt pads, traditional scale,
A=440.
This flute is in good
condition, keys are tight, pads are older but covering well. The tone is warm,
colorful and sweet. The embouchure hole is on the small side and it is well
cut. The flute is easy to control. It comes in its original case in good
condition.
Maker’s mark and serial number on body only. Monogram on headjoint.
The embouchure hole measures 10.13 x 12.09 mm.
Sounding length is 601 mm.
Headjoint length is 8-7/8”.
The flute weighs 400 grams.
