Bernhard Hammig Flute serial #2464, silver body, .970 silver headjoint, soldered tone hole, .016”, French Model open hole, pointed arms, offset G, split E, Bb shake, B-foot with gizmo, D# and C# rollers, steel springs, adjusting screws on right hand, felt pads, A=442 modern scale.

Bernhard Hammig came from a long line of flute makers. While the Philipp Hammig brand is perhaps better known for orchestral piccolos, Bernhard Hammig has established his own distinct atelier, focusing on high-end custom flutes and innovative designs.

Hammig #2464 is in very good condition, ready to play. The mechanism is precise, evident of Germany engineering, the pads are older, but covering well, key action is fast and smooth, very solid feeling. The sound is strong, dark and sweet, as one would expect from the German tradition. It comes in its original case in fair condition.

Maker’s mark and serial number on body only. Monogram on headjoint.

The embouchure hole measures 10.3 x 11.7 mm.

Sounding length is 629 mm.

Headjoint length is 9”.

The flute weighs 516 grams.
