We offer a vintage Muramatsu from 1978 made of 14K rose gold with silver mechanism, B-foot, French model open hole, inline G, D# roller, key extensions for G and G#, Straubinger pads. The gold lipplate was made by Albert Cooper himself!
During these years Muramatsu flutes were excellent copies of old Powell flutes. This particular flute has had one owner who played it in the Boston Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, and on major recording labels. Pitched at A=442Hz, it is a superb flute with a beautiful rich dark sound. The C1 key has been improved ergonomically by David Williams.
This is a very special artist quality flute and very reasonably priced for a gold flute.
Maker’s mark and serial number on body only, monogram on headjoint.
The embouchure hole measures 10.29 x 11.68 mm.
Sounding length is 630 mm.
