William S. Haynes Co. handmade French 10K gold flute from 1988, inline G, Bb shake, gold springs, B-foot with gizmo, D# roller, A=442Hz, 10K lip, 10K riser, 10K toneholes and rings, silver mechanism, ribs, and posts. This is a very lovely modern Haynes combining modern response and capabilities with the traditional sweet diverse French timbre. It is very light in weight and projects well. It was played professionally for many years. The headjoint was cut by Lewis Deveau and is extremely vibrant and balanced. The perforated gold lipplate has a distinctive criss-cross design, it is very comfortable on the lip. This pattern was first used by Haynes as early as the 1920’s.
This Centennial model Haynes is in excellent condition, with Straubinger pads in perfect adjustment.
