Haynes #38017 handmade silver French open hole flute from 1970. This is one of the later traditional Haynes flutes made before the advent of modern flutes. It has soldered tone holes, extremely thin .012” tubing, in line G, Bb shake, gold springs, C-foot and the #9 headjoint.
This flute is in excellent condition, keys are tight, pads are covering well. The tone is brilliant, colorful and sweet. It comes in the original case with a cleaning rod.
Maker’s mark and serial number on body only, monogram on headjoint.
The embouchure hole measures at 10.41 x 12.44 mm.
Headjoint length is 8-7/8”.
The flute weighs 390 grams.
Sounding length is 600 mm.
It comes in the original leather covered French case.
